Riyadh, Rajab 04, 1439, March 21, 2018, SPA -- The official spokesman of the Coalition Forces in Defense of the Legitimacy in Yemen Col. Staff Turki Al-Turki disclosed that at 15:48 today, a Coalition fighter was intercepted at the operations field by a hostile air defense missile launched from Saada airport, but the fighter managed to complete its mission, deal with the source of fire and return safe to base.
Col. Al-Turki said such air defense missile of today was not part of the Yemeni air defense capabilities which have been destroyed by the Coalition following the control of the Houthi militias of the heavy and qualitative weapons, an evidence that the Iranian regime is continuing smuggling qualitative field capabilities to the terrorist Houthi militias in a flagrant challenge to the world community resolutions, including the resolution No. 2216.
He said that the possession of new air defense missiles at the hands of the terror organizations is considered a serious development and a direct threat to the air navigation and relief and humanitarian trips.
