Turkey expects rise in trade volume with Qatar to $5bn

DOHA: Minister of Agriculture, Food and Livestock of the Republic of Turkey Dr Ahmet Esref Fakibaba hasexpected the trade exchange between Doha and Ankara to reach $5bn in the near future.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the sidelines of the 6th Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition, the Turkish Minister highlighted the steady increase in the volume of trade exchange between the two countries in terms of import and export.

He praised the relations between State of Qatar and Turkey in various fields and said that they would witness further progress in the future, thanks to the will and common desire of both countries.

'The State of Qatar and Turkey are two sisterly countries and two brotherly peoples. They have all the love and appreciation for each other and are cooperating now and in the future in all fields, including agriculture, he said. 'They will also make investments and joint ventures not only in Qatar but also in Turkey and other countries.

'The State of Qatar is a very important country, and we are ready to cooperate with it and help the people and the Government of the State of Qatar not only in the agricultural sectors, but in all areas that need our joint cooperation, he said, expressing Turkey's satisfaction with the level of cooperation with the State of Qatar.
