(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Cairo, March 19 (Petra)--One Egyptian officer, 3 soldiers and 36 terrorists were killed, and 8 soldiers were injured in the Comprehensive Operation-Sinai 2018, campaign launched by the Egyptian army against terrorists, according to a statement by the Egyptian army on Monday.
Egyptian forces said they destroyed a number of terrorist outposts and purged villages and cities in north and west Sinai from terrorists.
The army also arrest 345 militants and destroyed 386 depots and trenches full of weaponry and goods, the statement added.
Egyptian forces are tightening the noose along the cost to prevent infiltration attempts as the navy conducts joint drills with the French navy with the participation of helicopter carriers, frigates, and missile boats.
