Environment Ministry: No Cases of H5N8 Avian Flu Recorded in Saudi Arabia in Previous 24 Hours

Riyadh, Rajab 01, 1439, March 18, 2018, SPA -- The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced that no cases of H5N8 avian flu have been recorded in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the previous 24 hours.
In its daily briefing, the ministry affirmed that the number of samples collected from the Kingdom's regions since the beginning of the spread of the disease reached 10,459. The results disclosed that 159 of these samples tested positive. As many as 4,779 birds were culled in the previous 24 hours.
The statement said that the Ministry received two notifications and 9 enquiries in the previous 24 hours.
