UAE drive to train 1m coders receives 1.1m applications


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The 'One Million Arab Coders' initiative has received 1.1 million applications from around the Arab world since it was launched in October 2017. The initiative is the largest of its kind that seeks to train one million young Arabs in computer programming, in order to empower and equip them with the necessary tools and technological insight to face the challenges of the future.

The ultimate goal is to open a wide range of career opportunities for the youth in the future and to inspire a new generation of leaders in the digital economy - the economy of the future.

It was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The initiative is implemented in three stages and in collaboration with the Hussein Sajwani - DAMAC Charity Foundation. Registration is open on the website: www.arabcoders.ae
