Libya: El Feel oilfield locks up amid protests

(MENAFN) Sources have reported El Feel oilfield in Libya to have witnessed a protest by guards that caused it to close down.

The field is run though Libyan National Oil Corporation and Italian Eni, and it confirmed to have been generating ahead of the shutdown 70,000 barrels per day (bpd).

According to sources, the strike has emerged following a discussion that attempted to find an answer to protests about payments along with further demands.

The former guard Hassan Bedy Abubaker has declared protesters to have withdrawn following the refusal of NOC's appeal to remain while discussions resume.
