Kuwaiti filmmaker seeks benefit from Germany's expertise


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BERLIN, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti filmmaker Shaker Abul on Thursday called for making the best use of Germany's long expertise in the film industry, and events, topped with the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale).

Attending the 68th annual Berlinale, Abul told KUNA that he had met with several dignitaries at the major world cultural event, among them Director General of the German Film Museum.

He added that they had greed the museum would provide German movies to be offered during the next cultural season of the Kuwaiti Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah.

Abul noted that he was trying hard to enhance cinema and artistic cooperation with the German side.

He also referred to the financial support by Germany's Federal Government to encourage the film industry worldwide. (end) ang.msa
