Amidst protest, 14 Afghans deported from Germany

(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 14 illegal Afghan citizens have been deported to their homeland from Germany, a media report said on Wednesday.

The Afghan nationals were sent back to Kabul from Munich on Tuesday night, Deutsche Welle reported.

The deportations happened despite the Foreign Office submitting no fresh security assessment for Afghanistan.

In Berlin, the interior ministry said there were six people among the deportees who were deemed criminals - three identity thieves and one dangerous individual.

Around 200 rallied in Munich against Germany€™s deportation policy on Tuesday night in the midst of snowfall and freezing temperatures.

The rally was organised by the Bavarian Refugee Council that supports a policy of integration.

Many Germans oppose deportations because of the current human rights and security situation in Afghanistan.
