(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): At least 10 people were killed or wounded during Afghan forces operation in Sabari Yaqobi district of southeastern Khost province, officials said Wednesday.
The ongoing operation is launched by Afghan Special Forces known as Campaign in Abad Khani area of the district.
Local officials said they were unaware about the operation and casualties.
However, an official who wished to go unnamed told Pajhwok Afghan News that four people were killed and six others including a girl wounded during the operation.
The source did not provide details whether those killed or wounded were civilians or insurgents.
But deputy governor, Sher Shah Argoni said that information about the operation and casualties would be shared later with the media.
A week back, six people were killed in Trizayee and Alisher districts of Khost province in a similar operation.
