Syria Kurds say regime forces will deploy on Turkey border

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Beirut: Pro-regime fighters deployed to Syria's Afrin region will take up positions along the border with Turkey, which is waging an assault on the area, Kurdish forces said Tuesday.
The Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) issued a statement on Tuesday confirming Syria's government had sent "military units" to Afrin.
They would "take up positions on the borders, and participate in defending the territorial unity of Syria and its borders," the statement said.
