(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Dubai, Feb. 20 (Petra) -- Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and Chairman of Al Maktoum Foundation, Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, issued directives to increase the support for charitable, humanitarian, small and medium-sized enterprises in Jordan.
These enterprises contribute to creating jobs for the youth, in addition to initiatives in this regard through cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).
Vice president of the foundation and member of the Board of Trustees, Mirza Al Sayegh, said in a press release that the "the directives of Sheik Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum to support enterprises that create jobs for young men and women in Jordan ,stem from the warm and strong relations between the two countries".
"The work of the foundation in Jordan will further expand and a joint committee will be formed to examine initiatives and small enterprises needed by Jordan and approve them for execution according to priority," Al Sayegh explained.
Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez, valued the ongoing directives of his highness Sheik Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum to Al Maktoum Foundation to support enterprises and initiatives that create jobs for the Jordanian Youth, stressing that what the foundation does and provides is highly appreciated".
During the World Government Summit, which was hosted in Dubai last week, Al-Fayez called upon Emirati investors to invest in Jordan and enhance these investments to strengthen the political and social relations between the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.
"Al Maktoum Foundation has a robust orientation to support projects and initiatives in Jordan that will benefit families in need" said Salem Al Qaisi, a member of the Jordanian-Emirati Aid Committee.
