IMF boosts Turkey 2018 growth forecast to 4 percent


(MENAFN) International Monetary Fund (IMF) 2018 growth projection for Turkey was confirmed to have been increased to 4 percent from 3.5 percent.

"Following a slowdown in activity in 2016, growth recovered sharply last year with the help of policy stimulus and favorable external conditions," the IMF declared.

It also confirmed 2017 growth forecast to have settled at 7 percent, while 2018 forecast decreased at 4 percent.

The Turkish government on the other hand is investing its efforts to raise foreign direct investments (FDI) this year.
