Private radio station in Ghor set alight


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have set on fire a private radio station in western Ghor province, an official said on Monday.

Abdul Wadood Samim, manager of the Adalat Radio Station, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place on Sunday night when he was preparing a programme.

He said three individuals entered his room and started beating him. The attackers allegedly tied up his hands and torched all equipment.

Samim added: €œOur office is located close to a police station. We called the police personnel but they did not respond.€

A month back, Sarhadi Radio station had come under similar assault. But the attackers are yet to be arrested.
