(MENAFN) A couple of key construction agreements at the value of $182.4 million have been awarded from Expo 2020 Dubai to UK-based global building company Laing O'Rourke for the construction of two pavilions and an access road.
The building company is, under the contract conditions, to construct the Expo's Leadership and Media pavilions along with the 'Hammerhead' access road to the Al Wasl Plaza.
The agreement also states the company to be in charge of performing the mechanical, plumbing and engineering labors tied with the projects.
Senior vice president of Real Estate and Delivery at Expo 2020 Ahmed Al Khatib declared "we are on track to deliver an exceptional site for an amazing Expo. We are delighted to announce Laing O'Rourke as the main contractor for these important two contracts."
