Dubai Shopping Festival scores 10 percent raise in football at malls


(MENAFN) The Dubai Shopping Festival (DFS), in its 23rd edition, has witnessed a 10% rise in footfall at malls along with a drastic boost in travelers flying Emirates heading to Dubai.

The 2018 edition of the shopping festival "has been one of the most successful to date at Dubai Festival City Mall. We have seen a 10 percent year-on-year increase in footfall," director of shopping malls at Al Futtaim Group Real Estate Steven Cleaver declared.

The festival has also seen an increase in football at a range of malls, including Ibn Battuta Mall, Mercato Mall, Nakheel malls and both of Dubai's Dragon Marts.

The managing director of Majid Al Futtaim Properties Fuad Mansoor Sharaf has acknowledged the event and praised it as he stated that the shopping festival "has been a resounding success for Majid Al Futtaim's six shopping malls in Dubai."
