(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) After several days of agonizingly waiting to see her husband in a hospital, finally made her way to Dubai, thanks to the Indian Minister of external affairs (MEA) Sushma Swaraj.
Garima arrived in Dubai early Saturday morning, and tweeted a picture of herself with her unconscious husband, and said, "Thank u @SushmaSwaraj mam, @MEAIndia @cgidubai! With husband. I think he recognised me, his eyes welled and he put his arm out to receive me. My entire family thanks you."
Garima, who has been actively tweeting about her husband's situation since January 17, revealed that her an Ischaemic stroke. She first posted a tweet addressed @SushmaSwaraj on January 18 requesting help to expedite her visit visa to UAE.
After 1,500 retweets, Swaraj replied and assured that everything would be done to help her. Officials at the Consulate General of India in Dubai leapt into action and completed the paper work for her visa by Friday afternoon.
She tweeted a second time saying, "I have to smile around him. He should not see me weeping and crying. Finally, after many moments of restlessness in him as he cannot speak, he has slept. Thanks, people. Indebted for the support."

- Garima (@agg_garima) The MEA minister has been recognised the 'Supermom of State' by US dailies for her novel way of reaching out to Indians living of traveling overseas. Earlier this month, Swaraj also used the social network to announce that she would personally monitor Indian embassies' responses to call for aid.
She tweeted, "Pl tweet your problem to concerned Indian embassy/ authority and endorse the same to @sushmaswaraj. I monitor responses to the tweets." The minister has also urged those facing an emergency to use the hashtag #SOS.
