The 1000 Books Foundation Selects its First Alumni Ambassador of the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Challenge

(MENAFNEditorial) Las Vegas, Nevada - 17 January, 2018 - Jordan has been selected as the First Alumni Ambassador of the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Reading Challenge. This enthusiastic reader exemplifies the benefits of early childhood literacy.

You may remember Jordan from one of our first blog posts of September 2014 () At that time, his parents had just completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Challenge.

Since completing the challenge at 3½ years old, Jordan has displayed an incredible memory. In Kindergarten, at age five, Jordan played President John Adams in a school performance, and took it upon himself to learn and memorize all the Presidents of the United States of America. Jordan can recite the presidents by name, order of presidency, or any combination of the two.

In May of 2017, Jordan was chosen to speak at his Kindergarten graduation ceremony in front of a crowd of his peers, teachers, faculty, parents, and grandparents. In the fall of 2017, Jordan was chosen as the face of the #TheBigRead2017. He and his family are always willing to support and encourage other families to participate in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge. 'I truly feel that the confidence Jordan exudes, is due to the fact that we read to him constantly, said Jordan's father. 'The time we spent (and still spend) reading together is something that Jordan will always remembers for the rest of his life, he added.

Jordan is now in first grade and he loves his teachers and classmates. With an outgoing personality and kind heart, 6-year-old Jordan makes friends wherever he goes. Besides going to school and spending time with his family, Jordan also enjoys playing soccer, tennis, and golf. In fact, Jordan won his first US Kids Golf Tournament at the age of five.

Jordan has gone on to star in his very own YouTube Channel (), where he displays athleticism, dexterity, and engaging personality through playing carnival games, miniature golf, and video games.
