Kuwait to host Coalition against IS ministerial meeting Feb. 13


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- The US-led International Coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) is due to meet in Kuwait at the level of foreign ministers on February 12, Kuwait's Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah said Tuesday. The meeting involving the 74-member strong military alliance is part of efforts to up the fight against terrorism, Al-Jarallah told KUNA.

He applauded the coalition for the tangible progress it has made in Iraq and Syria, stressing that more cooperation is needed to ensure peace and security in the world.

Al-Jarallah also expressed hope that this significant meeting would prove fruitful. (end) msa.nam
