The Public Parks Department of Daayen Municipality at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment has educated girl students of a community college, Rawdat Hamam branch about plantation and maintaining hygiene on the sideline of an exhibition on environment.
The exhibition titled 'keep Qatar hygienic is held at the Community College, Rawdat Hamam branch. The event aimed at creating awareness about environment protection and efforts being made by the authorities concerned in this regards.
The Department distributed seedlings of seasonal plants and booklets about plantation and gardening among the students.
The students were also taught practically how to sow seeds of plants. Meanwhile, Health Monitoring Unit at the Al Rayan Municipality made 72 inspection visits on food outlets during recent past.
The unit took 19 food samples and sent to the central laboratory for test. The inspectors caught two violations related to health rules. In one case, the reconciliation was made. Al Rayan Municipality collected a total of QR7,500 fines from erring food outlets.
