Mount Agung: 'red warning' issued after ash emission

(MENAFN) Following an emission of a thick trail of smoke from Mount Agung that reached 13,100 feet, a "red warning" was issued by airlines over the risk of volcanic ash in the skies near Bali.

Threatening emissions from the Indonesian island volcano have been experienced twice this week alone causing flights to be delayed.

In some areas, authorities started handing out masks for civilians to protect them from fallen ash after the red warning which indicates a prediction of a forthcoming eruption that will probably be accompanied with major emission of ash.
