Turkish Pres., Saudi King discuss developments in Syria


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the latest developments in Syria with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Saturday.

In a telephone conversation, Erdogan briefed King Salman on endeavors aiming to resolve the Syrian crisis within the framework of the Astana talks and the tripartite summit on Syria held in Russia's Sochi last Wednesday, Anadolu Agency reported, citing some sources at the Turkish presidency.

The two leaders also focused on regional issues and bilateral relations between their countries, the sources said.

The Sochi summit included Erdogan, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani.

It called on all representatives of the Syrian regime and opposition to participate constructively in an intra-Syrian dialogue conference to be held later. (end) rs.hm
