Jacqueline Joy Cumming


(MENAFN- The Conversation) Professor Joy Cumming is the Research Director of the Assessment, Evaluation and Student Learning Research in LSIA at ACU. Joy has been involved in educational research for 40 years, including state and federally funded research projects and contributing to national and state policies. Her core research priority is educational assessment, including a focus on assessment equity and student agency. Her work in education law examines the impact of educational policy and legislation in assessment and accountability on students. A current ARC Discovery Project is collecting data in Australian secondary schools on assessment adjustments for students with disability who are studying mainstream subjects at their appropriate age level.
