(MENAFN) China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) has declared it had set up an Asia-Pacific headquarters and a research & development center in Australia.
This Australian headquarters will help in providing technology support of train design, manufacturing and maintenance in the area.
Chairman of CRRC Changchun said: "The office will create more job and export opportunities for local train manufacturers."
In November last year, CRRC Changchun has signed the biggest metro train purchasing project in Australian history; an agreement with Victoria to establish high-capacity metro trains of 1.5b USD.
