Zimbabwe new President to pursue changes in the country

(MENAFN) After the closure of a long-lasting battle with Robert Mugabe, the new president of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa has made a vow to reconnect the country with the rest of the world.

During the new president's inauguration speech, he addressed the damaged economy in the country and pursued its recovery through reassuring foreign investors to draw funds which are desperately needed.

The sacking of then-Vice President Mnangagwa earlier this month had resulted in the intervention of the military as well as the ruling party to end the reign of Mugabe which went on for thirty-seven years, leading to his resignation on Tuesday.
