(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 23 (Petra) Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh on Thursday met Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and his accompanying delegation.
During the discussions, the Palestinian premier briefed Shawarbeh on the latest political and economic developments in the Palestinian territories and current inter-Palestininan reconciliation efforts.
Hamdallah lauded ties between the two brotherly peoples as "longstanding and historic" and voiced keenness to foster them in the various fields.
He also commended Jordan's unwavering and continual support to the Palestinian people and their cause, an effort that will bolster Palestinians' steadfastness in countering Israel's continued violations aimed to tamper with their holy shrines, properties and rights.
