Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar bids farewell to Jaleel Nizami

Bazm-e-Urdu Qatar (BUQ), the oldest Urdu Literary organisation in Qatar bids farewell to prominent Poet Jaleel Nizami and held its regular poetic symposium on November 16 at Crystal Palace Hotel, in Doha.

BUQ founded in 1959, has been organising quarterly poetic symposiums for the last five decades. It also organises monthly and annual Urdu seminars and international poetic symposiums.

The Chairman of BUQ and a highly reputable critic of Urdu poetry Dr. Faisal Hanif was the comparer of the evening.

The President of BUQ and popular poet Muhammad Rafique Shaad Akolvi, presided over the programme, while noted poet and BUQ's General Secretary Iftekhar Raghib; President of Majlis Frogh-e-Urdu Adab Qatar, Fartash Syed; Bazm's senior patron, Syed Abdul Hye; and joint secretary of Bazm-e-Urdu London (UK) Adil Muzaffarpuri, were the chief guests.
