(MENAFN)The speed limit on the Maliha- Al Faiya Street has now been increased, Police in Sharjah announced on Thursday.
Sharjah Police General Directorate studied a proposal recommended by the Traffic Committee, and raised the speed limit of the road, which is located in the central region of Sharjah.
The new speed limit changed from 80km/h to 100km/h as road works were carried out by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Sharjah, to develop traffic flow in the area, Sharjah Police said.
This means that the radar will flash motorists that drive above 120km/h instead of the previous 100km/h.
