UK: coroner to call for social media 'contracts' after murder

(MENAFN) Following the discovery of a murderer announcing his murderous intent against his teacher on Facebook, the establishment of social media "contracts" for parents to observe their children's activities has been demanded by coroner Kevin McLoughlin.

In April 2014, then-fifteen year old Will Cornick stabbed his sixty-one year old teacher Ann Maguire to death during a class at Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds.

Coroner McLoughlin declared his plan to send a proposal for Digital Minster Matthew Hancock of a requirement for young people aged 13-18 to attach on their application a named parent to open an account.
