Uzbekistan, Philippines eye economic cooperation

Uzbekistan and Philippines have mulled issues of economic cooperation, as a Philippine delegation led by Foreign Assistant Secretary Hjayceelyn Quintana of the Office of Middle East and African Affairs at the Department of Foreign Affairs met with Uzbek official on November 22.

during the meeting held at the Foreign Trade Ministry of Uzbekistan, the sides discussed issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture, light industry, tourism, development of transport and air communications.

In addition, Quintana expressed interest of the Philippine side in establishing direct contacts between representatives of business circles of the two countries for the further development of trade and economic relations.

The sides expressed mutual interest in continuing their joint work.
