Istanbul, 05 Rabi'I,1439 AH, 23 November,2017 , SPA -- The Speaker of Saudi Al-Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh has affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has a proven history and sincere efforts to provide assistance for other less developed countries as it is one of the top 20 donors of development aid around the world, and in the past four decades has offered over $ 115 billion benefiting more than 90 countries.
This came in a speech delivered by the Speaker of the Shura Council yesterday during the meetings of the 10th session of the General Assembly of the Asian Parliamentary Union in Istanbul.
He said, " The dissemination of a culture of dialogue, the promotion and consolidation of coexistence and respect and the building of world peace are among the most important pillars of human development in this world. Therefore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has given this aspect a special priority by supporting local, regional and global projects. Internally the Kingdom has established King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue which involves all components of the Saudi society, and has contributed internationally to the establishment of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue in the Austrian capital, Vienna, and established King Salman Center for International Peace in Malaysia. All these efforts reflect the Kingdom's vision towards the human ability to make the world a more peaceful oasis where all peoples coexist based on common humanitarian grounds."
