Turkish security arrests 19 PKK suspects, thwarts illegal migrants


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- Turkey arrested 19 suspects of Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in several Turkish cities on Thursday.

Turkish news agency (Anadolu), quoted security sources as saying that anti-terror units raided several locations near Istanbul city.

The sources noted some those arrested turned out to be working as spies.

Meanwhile, Turkish authorities also foiled an attempt by 35 illegal migrants to go from the Turkish Aydin city to the Greek island in the western coast of Turkey.

In Didim town of southwestern Aydin province, 35 Syrian origin undocumented migrants were found attempting to cross into Greece through the Turkish border illegally.

According to Anadolu, the migrants were sent to the local Repatriation Center. (end) rs.mb.ta.haq
