(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Speaker of Parliament, Atef Tarawneh, said in his speech, the House will monitor the government's economic stimulus plan, based on a national strategy to foster manpower potentials and to counter rigorous regional challenges.
Tarawneh also highlighted the ambitious e-government program aimed to facilitate administrative procedures, adding the Parliament is following suit.
He stressed the House's keenness to endorse priority economic laws in a bid to reform relevant legislatures to trigger the desired impact to develop the citizens' living standards.
" This move will counter economic defects, balance revenues and expenditure, which will be conducive to launching a socio-economic industry supportive of the poor segments of the community. It will also stimulate business ambience and attract investments," he pointed out.
He also voiced confidence in the King's wise leadership to resolve Mideast crises to achieve stability, and highlighted His Majesty's support to the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
He, moreover, highlighted the King's pivotal role in fighting terrorism and extremism in accordance with a holistic strategy.
" Jordan's diplomacy has become a symbol of moderation thanks to your Majesty's efforts," he added.
