Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced the full closure of Al Hamd Street from Al Wajbah Roundabout to Ermaila Street, to complete road construction and utility works.
The proposed road closure, which is located in local roads to the south of Education City, has been designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. It will commence on Friday, November 24, 2017, and will be in place until May 2018.

During this period, road users travelling from Al Shafi Street who would normally access Al Wajbah Street via Al Hamd Street and vice versa, will be required use to Ermaila Street instead and follow the diversion route. A 260 metre section of Al Hamd Street connecting Al Shafi Street and Ermaila Street will remain open and facilitate two way traffic flow.

The Public Works Authority urged all road users to abide by the speed limit of 50 kph along the diversion routes, and follow newly installed traffic road signs to ensure their safety.
