(MENAFN)An elderly man stuck in his car engulfed in flood water in Jeddah has been rescued by a Filipino immigrant, who quickly became a hero on social media.As Civil Defence officers were on their way to rescue the elderly man, the expatriate stood among dozens of onlookers.The Filipino saw that the officers were a bit scared to approach the vehicle and decided to rescue the man himself.A video of the rescue went viral on social media, as the Filipino jumped into the flooding waters, pulled the man out of the car and swam him back to safety. "I was not afraid." he said in broken Arabic.
