Police make appeal in search for Indonesian mother and daughter

Hong Kong Police issued a public appeal on Tuesday for help in their search for a both of whom were reported missing on Sunday.

Sing Pao reports that a 26-year-old woman of Indonesian origin and her daughter, who is part-North African, were reported missing from their home on 23-25 Ning Po Street, in the Yau Ma Tei area of Hong Kong's Kowloon district.

The mother is about 1.65 meters tall and of thin build, with short black hair. She was last seen wearing a red and white top, blue jeans and black shoes.

The girl is about 80 centimeters tall, with short, dark and curly hair. She wore a dark blue top, dark pants and shoes, Ta Kung Pao reports.

Police appealed to anyone with information to contact officers on 3661 9275 or 3661 9576 or notify any police station.

Officers from Yau Ma Tei were handling the case.
