Deputizing for King, tourism minister opens Fairmont Amman hotel


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 21 (Petra) -- Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Lina Enab, Tuesday, opened Fairmont Amman hotel, with an investment worth JD150 million, and would create around 500 job opportunities.

In her keynote address, the minister said the hotel is a qualitative addition that would boost hospitality and tourism services, adding her ministry's efforts aim to foster the tourism sector, a major supporter of national economy.

The five-star luxury facility reflects Jordan's stability, security and its lucrative business ambience, which would attract foreign investors to launch ventures in vital sectors, explained Enab.

The hotel's Operations Manager, Silian Iskandarani, said our luxurious retreat is part of the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts group, which will meet the highest relevant standards in this global industry.

Fairmont Amman has 317 rooms and suites, 11 hotel apartments and a range of restaurants and multi-purpose halls.
