Kuwait top lawmaker heads to Istanbul for Asian parliamentary talks


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 20 (KUNA) -- In his capacity as head of Kuwait's parliamentary caucus, National Assembly chief Marzouq Al-Ghanim headed to Istanbul on Monday to attend Asian Parliamentary Assembly Executive Council talks.

Speaker Al-Ghanim will hold an address at the open discussions on peace and development sustainability in Asia held btween Tuesday and Thursday, read a statement by the Kuwaiti parliament's press office, Al-Dostoor.

The parliamentary delegation also consists lawmakers Rakan Al-Nisf, Awda Al-Rouwaei, Walid Al-Tabtabaei, Khalil Abul and Al-Humaidi Al-Subaiei.

Seeing Al-Ghanim off at Kuwait airport was MP Issa Al-Kanderi, Justice Minister and State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Faleh Al-Azb and MPs Allam Al-Kanderi and Adel Al-Loghani. (end) ns.sd
