Azerbaijan is one of the countries that provide reporting on implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia Afshan Khan said.
Khan made the remarks in Baku Nov. 20 at the opening ceremony of the 4th National Children's Forum.
Afshan Khan added that Azerbaijan has reached the majority of sustainable development goals.
The number of children attending school is very high - more than 95 percent, she added.
The challenges facing Azerbaijan are the same as those facing other countries, Khan said, adding these challenges include the development of a system for protecting children, rendering social services for more vulnerable families, and ensuring the integration of children with disabilities into the society.
