(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Defending champion Assarain moved to the top of table with a four-wicket win over Enhance CT while Passage to India (PTI) claimed its first win of the season when it upset Muscat CT in the Oman Cricker Premier Division games played on Friday and Saturday respectively.
Left-arm spinner Shakeel Ahmad and opener Arun Poulose were the stars in Assarain's win. Ahmad claimed four wickets while Vinukumar Gopalakrishnan took three as Enhance was bowled out for 134. Sanuth Ebrahim (32) and Mehran Khan (31) were the notable scorers. In reply, a middle-order collapse saw Assarain slump to 119 for six but it then negotiated the target in 33rd over. Poulose top-scored with 50.
On Saturday, Muscat suffered a 84-run defeat at the hands of PTI. Put to bat, PTI rode knocks of Muhammed Sajjad Ali (82 off just 31 balls), Zeeshan Siddiqui (66) and Rana Safeer Tariq (60) to compile 321 for four.

Muscat CT never recovered from its early reverses and was all out for 237. Aaqib Ilyas (66) and Ayaan Khan (63) provided the only resistance. Jaymin Taylor bagged four wickets. Brief scores: Enhance 134 all out in 37.5 overs (Ebrahim 32, Mehran 31; Ahmad 4-33, Gopalakrishnan 3-14) lost to Assarain 138-6 in 32.1 overs (Poulose 50, Shahan Akram 33).
PTI 321-4 in 50 overs (Sajjad Ali 82 n.o., Siddiqui 66, Safeer Tariq 60; Ayaan Khan 3-56) beat Muscat CT 237 all out in 47.3 overs (Ilyas 66, Khan 63).
A Division: Renaissance 208-9 in 50 overs (Nisal Fernando 51, Verma 44; Farhan Afzal 3-37, Mehtab Hussain 2-40, Irfan Khalid 2-40) lost to IT Works 209-9 in 45.2 overs (Akmal Shahzad 56, Farhan Afzal 41).
B Division: Ernst and Young 174-8 in 30 overs (Mohammed Nayaz 46; Jaleel Mahamood 2-17, Shameer Kariadan 2-24, Faleel Thailakandy 2-36) lost to FAP UTSC 175-7 in 25.3 overs (Shaidh K 71 n.o.).
Platinum Services Diamond (PSD) 233-8 in 30 overs (Muhammed Umar Zaman 61, Ahmed Mumtaz 50; Wasim Abdul Karim 4-48, Nishanth Menon 3-34) defeated Al Mada Engineering 103 all out in 14.5 overs (Aftab Ahmed 3-19, Ahammad Karim 2-13, Chadith Lakmal 2-18).
Women's League: Indian School Ghubra 139-6 in 20 overs (Shreya Sandesh Dhuri 36, Priyanka Edna 30, Saya Channa 21 n.o.; Hina Javed 2-33) beat Pakistan School Muscat 38 all out in 7.2 overs (Akshara Srinivasan 4-6, Saya 3-19).
