Virat Kohli slammed his 18th Test century during the 1st Test against Sri Lanka, completing his 50th international ton.

He is now the joint-fastest to reach 50 international hundreds alongside Hashim Amla (both took 348 innings).

With 9 centuries in 2017, Kohli now has the joint-most internationals 100s by a captain in a year. Others include Ricky Ponting (2005, 2006), and Graeme Smith (2005).

Pujara the 3rd Indian to bat on all five days

Cheteshwar Pujara became only the third Indian batsman to bat on all five days in a Test match, besides ML Jaisimha (against Australia in 1960) and Ravi Shastri (against England in 1984), who also did it at the Eden Gardens.

With scores of 52 and 22 (aggregate 74), he has the lowest aggregate among all the 9 players who batted on all 5 days.


Most 50s without a 100 in a calendar year
