(MENAFN- UkrinForm) President Petro Poroshenko has stated that the Ukrainian Marine Corps is capable to perform any tasks both on land and water.
In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote: 'The Ukrainian Marine Corps is capable to perform any tasks both on land and water. The tasks of the Naval Forces command are to complete the formation of this kind of troops - with the use of modern samples of weapons and military equipment, new forms and methods of conducting military operations.
As reported, President Petro Poroshenko during the celebrations on the occasion of the Day of the Marine Corps on November 16 said that the tank battalion of the marine corps of the Ukrainian Naval Forces will be transferred to the T-80 tanks next year as part of the general rearmament program for these troops. In addition, another battalion of marines will receive upgraded infantry fighting vehicles.
