Okinawa crash lead to alcohol ban for US soldiers in Japan
(MENAFN) On Okinawa Island, a fatal crash that was connected to drink driving has occurred. As a result, US soldiers stationed in Japan were banned from consuming alcohol by the US military.
The US military confirmed that they also banned troops on Okinawa from leaving their base as well as their residences.
The US military issued a statement confirming that "alcohol may have been a factor" in a crash that a US service member had been involved in. the military declared as well that all its soldiers in Japan are to receive "mandatory training to address responsible alcohol use, risk management and acceptable behavior."
