(MENAFN) While he appeared reluctant on lifting the ban, President Trump stated on Sunday that his administration is to declare its decision on the practice of giving permission to import elephant trophies into the United States from two African countries.
Trump posted a tweet stating "big-game trophy decision will be announced next week but will be very hard pressed to change my mind that this horror show in any way helps conservation of Elephants or any other animal."
The comment Trump made follows his announcement on Friday of suspending the decision in the midst of violent criticism, he tweeted "put big game trophy decision on hold until such time as I review all conservation facts, under study for years. Will update soon with Secretary Zinke. Thank you!"
