JIAT Spokesman and Legal Advisor Mansour bin Ahmed Al-Mansour also said that regarding the (United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights) report dated (04 August 2016) that on (22 October 2015) (Sala'a Palace Museum) in Taiz was attacked by Coalition Air Force causing partial damage to the building. JIAT assessed the incident, and reviewed all related documents, including the procedures and Rules of Engagement, the Daily Air Mission Schedule, and verified the evidence, JIAT found that the Armed Houthi Militia seized (Sala'a Palace Museum) in Taiz, and used it as a weapons storage and military barracks. On (22 October 2015), and due to military necessity, the legitimate Yemeni's forces requested a Close Air Support Mission (CAS) to attack the target (Sala'a Palace Museum) which was a legitimate military target. The (Salah Palace Museum) in Taiz was bombed and partially damaged.
JIAT concludes that the procedures of the Coalition forces were correct, and in accordance with International Humanitarian Law and its Customary Rules, Al-Mansour concluded.
