FUJAIRAH, 19th November, 2017 (WAM) -- The Fujairah Social and Cultural Association will participate as the guest of honour at the 4th Literature and Poetry Summit, which will be held by the Overseas Poets Forum, CPMP, in the French capital, Paris, on 25th November.
During the forum, Emirati author Khaled Al Dhanhani, Chairman of the Fujairah Social and Cultural Association, will present poetry readings, along with a group of Arab poets from various host and Arab countries.
The programme for the Fujairah Social and Cultural Association during the visit will include many media interviews and visits to several prestigious cultural organisations to discuss cultural co-operation, especially with regards to preparing for the next UAE Cultural Days, which will be held by the Association in Paris at the start of 2018.
Al Dhanhani explained that the Association seeks, through its international participation, to extend the bridges of social communication and horizons with other cultures, while showcasing Emirati creativity and international literature, as well as promoting co-operation with cultured Arab individuals who have migrated to European counties, as well as to support international Arab cultural giving and celebrate international Arab literature, which have contributed to spreading Arab culture in their host countries.
Last October the Fujairah Social and Cultural Association organised UAE Cultural Days in Madrid, Spain, as part of the Zayed's Ambassadors Initiative and in co-operation with the UAE Embassy in the Spain. The UAE's activities in Spain saw considerable success and attracted the attention of Arab and Spanish cultural and media circles.
The Association also participated, as part of its international programme, in the Ibn Battuta Cultural Forum in Italy, and the Youth Art and Creativity Forum in Morocco.
