Qatar- QRC reviews humanitarian situation in North Kordofan

Secretary-General of Qatar Red Crescent (QRC), Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi, met with a Sudanese delegation headed by Governor of North Kordofan State, Ahmed Mohammed Haroun.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments of the humanitarian situation in North Kordofan, and the most important achievements and projects implemented by QRC in Sudan.
The two sides affirmed the depth of the relationship between Qatar Red Crescent and its Sudanese counterpart.
Al Hammadi underlined that QRC projects in Darfur states continue within the framework of the strategy of reconstruction, health, water, sanitation and food security in general, or through more focused projects, noting in this regard the importance of supporting resettlement projects and supporting voluntary return. He added that QRC is currently studying the implementation of a number of projects in North Kordofan.
For his part, Haroun praised the support and assistance provided by Qatar Red Crescent to Sudan and Darfur in particular. He noted that North Darfur state will coordinate with QRC to provide the necessary support to the people of the villages of the state in the field of education and health.
He underlined that the people of Sudan in general and the people of the state of North Kordofan in particular appreciate the great efforts of the State of Qatar in support of the development projects in the country.
