Mary Bono: silence is "part of the problem" when it comes to sexual harassment

(MENAFN) On Sunday, ex-Rep. Mary Bono admitted that not speaking out about sexual misconduct during her service in Congress was "part of the problem."

Bono laid out in a panel on ABC News her familiarity with harassment; she claimed that in the House someone tried to take her "down a notch in the eyes of my colleagues."

Accepting responsibility for her silence, Bono discussed how women who experienced sexual harassment "gave up the fight" in the past. She affirmed "my silence is part of the problem too on the Hill."
