US: Space Corps of the military is inevitable

(MENAFN) Congress is to skip out this year on establishing a new branch of the military that is dedicated to space, however it will happen over time as lawmakers and defense experts who support the matter confirmed.

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is working on some adjustments in order to set the foundations for the Space Corps to be founded in a not too far away future.

Defense budget analyst and director of the Aerospace Security Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Todd Harrison, confirmed "this issue is not dead at all. Congress laid the ground work for this to come back up in future years, I think [Space Corps] is inevitable, as in within my lifetime."
