Some parts of this benchmark listing are obvious. For example, the device will run on Android Oreo while using a 'universal9810' motherboard, which suggests the . Samsung discreetly revealed that chipset at the end of last week, and it is expected that the chipset will power both the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.
What is confusing is that the rumored device is expected to be equipped with only 4GB of RAM, which is widely seen as being too low given that the Galaxy Note 8 and other smartphones in the same range now sport at least 5GB of RAM, if not 6GB or more. In addition to that, the single-core score of 1,191 and multi-core score of 3,835 received from the benchmark are either too low or simply confusing because they are worse than the scores achieved by the Galaxy S8 in various other tests.
Still, Geekbench has sometimes been tricked by modified handsets in the past, according to Techradar. Thus, there is a possibility that the information contained in the benchmarks is not 100% confirmed and that perhaps we aren't looking at the real Samsung Plus specs after all.
Other rumors about the Galaxy S9 Plus specs
