Salford: man in custody considered liable for light aircraft crash

(MENAFN) An arrest took place over the light aircraft crash on a farm which occurred soon after the plane's take-off from City Airport in Barton. The plane had four individuals on board; fortunately they all survived the crash with slight injuries.

Following the issue of warrants near Blackpool, the fifty-one year old male was taken into custody over suspicion of endangering an aircraft, fraud by false representation as well as further offences related to air navigation order.

According to PC Suzanne Keenan from Greater Manchester Police, "this is a complex investigation that has been undertaken in conjunction with the Civil Aviation Authority. Thankfully those involved in the collision are well on their way to recovering from their injuries, but we still need to make sure those responsible are held to account."

PC Suzanne Keenan also called for individuals with valuable information to come forward and contact the police.
